Going through the licensing process and renewals, inspections etc. can be very daunting, especially when one was made to feel by the council and many in the community that our presence as STA owners was unwanted. Having a group that advocated for us while the by laws were being drafted and re-drafted had massive tangible results in our favour both practically and in shaping perceptions in terms of our contribution to the community. My partner and I are extremely grateful for the existence of this group as an ongoing resource and to share experiences.
